Emeritus Professor of Management   

Robert K. Robinson is the Michael S. Starnes Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi where he has been on the faculty since 1990. He earned his Ph.D. in Personnel Administration and Industrial Relations (Human Resource Management) from the University of North Texas in 1988. Professor Robinson is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Professor Robinson’s research interests involve federal regulation of the work place, affirmative action policies, sexual harassment, business ethics, and employee recruiting and selection. He has written over 100 articles which have appeared in such professional and academic journals as Business Horizons, Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal, Group and Organization Management, Hospital and Health Services Administration, Human Resource Planning, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Psychology, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Small Business Strategy, Labor Law Journal, Personnel Administrator, Public Administration Quarterly, Public Personnel Management, and many other business and government journals. Professor Robinson has also coauthored two books, The Regulatory Environment of Human Resource Management (2001).
