Francis Haik Jordan Award for Entrepreneurship Fund

 

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist deserving men and women who are pursuing an education in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi.  Recipients will be currently enrolled freshmen or sophomore students in the School of Business with a 3.0 grade point average who contribute to the School of Business student population. Recipients will exemplify excellence in entrepreneurial spirit and abilities.  Students will apply for the award by submitting a resume and answering a set of questions regarding their entrepreneurial activities.

 

A panel of faculty and staff from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will determine the winner each year.  The award, in the amount of $2,000, and will be presented at the Gillespie Business Plan awards reception in the spring of the year.

 

  • Describe an experience you have had (summer job, internship, family business) with an entrepreneurial business, start-up or early stage company or family business. [250 words max]
  • Describe your interest in building and owning your own business someday?
  • What do you believe will be the most important aspect of preparing to be an entrepreneur?
