Allyn Cascio, Ph.D.

Instructional Associate Professor of Management

Dr. Allyn Cascio is an Instructional Associate Professor of Management. She earned her Ph.D. in marketing from Mississippi State University, MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and bachelor of accountancy from The University of Mississippi. Allyn teaches digital marketing courses in the Entrepreneurship program, focusing on necessary skills for entrepreneurial and small business success in today’s highly competitive marketplace. She also teaches introductory marketing courses, where students with a variety of career interests learn to appreciate the vital role that marketing plays in optimizing organizational strategy. Having spent much of her life working in her family’s hospitality business, Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Louisville, MS, Allyn emphasizes application of course content in an entrepreneurial context.

Dr. Cascio’s research interests include customer-frontline employee interactions, socially responsible business models, and issues surrounding retailer self-service technology implementation. She has published in a variety of highly regarded journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Services Marketing. She also serves as a member of the School of Business Administration’s Entrepreneurship Committee, our representative on the University’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Board, and a member of the Management Department’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation committee.
