Scholarships

Seibels Scholars Fund

Recipients will be currently enrolled in the Entrepreneurship (ENT) major or minor with a 3.0 grade point average who contribute to the diversity of the student population at the University of Mississippi. Recipients will exemplify excellence in entrepreneurial spirit and abilities.

Recipients are required to participate in the Mid-South Business Model Competition in the fall and the Gillespie Business Plan Competition in the spring. Both events are hosted by the University of Mississippi Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Recipients will be known as the Seibels Scholars. There will be four awards in the amount of $5,000 per award for a total of $20,000 per academic year. Recipients will be selected by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Francis Haik Award for Entrepreneurship Fund

Recipients will be currently enrolled undergraduates involved in the University of Mississippi Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs with a 3.0 grade point average who contribute to the diversity of the School of Business student population. Recipients will exemplify excellence in entrepreneurial spirit and abilities. Students will apply for the award by submitting a resume and answering a set of questions regarding their entrepreneurial activities.

A panel of faculty and staff from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will determine the winner each year. The award, in the amount of $2,000, and will be presented, along with a recognition plaque, to the recipient at the Gillespie Business Plan awards reception in the spring of the year.

Sunny Sue Haik Award for Entrepreneurship Fund

Recipients will be currently enrolled undergraduates involved in the University of Mississippi Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs with a 3.0 grade point average who contribute to the diversity of the School of Business student population. Recipients will exemplify excellence in entrepreneurial spirit and abilities. Students will apply for the award by submitting a resume and answering a set of questions regarding their entrepreneurial activities.

Dr. Michael and Kim Perry Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this endowment is to honor in perpetuity Kim and Michael Perry and to provide deserving students in the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at the University of Mississippi.

Recipients will be rising juniors and seniors in the School of Business Administration who have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and exemplify excellence in entrepreneurial spirit and abilities.  First preference will be given to students from Mississippi.  Additional preference will be given to students pursuing a minor or major degree in entrepreneurship.  Students will apply for the scholarship by submitting a resume and answering a set of questions regarding their entrepreneurial activities.

A panel of faculty and staff from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will determine the recipient.  The award will be for two semesters.  If a student receives the awards a junior, he or she may reapply for the scholarship for their senior year.

Robert Julian Allen III Memorial Scholarship Endowment for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The purpose of this endowment is to honor in perpetuity Robert Julian Allen III, and to provide deserving men and women in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. The recipient will be an entering freshman with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship in the School of Business Administration.
